I'm a qualified Japanese language teacher originally from Kumamoto, Japan, now living in Melbourne, Australia. I've been teaching Japanese since 2015, and I speak Japanese and English.

I'm passionate about language education and have a positive, optimistic, and patient approach to teaching. My students often tell me I'm easy to talk to. I have taught Japanese to a diverse range of learners from various cultural backgrounds, including students at Japanese language schools in Japan and Australia, as well as on online platforms. I also have experience teaching Japanese to military personnel at a military institution, focusing on the language skills they need for their duties.

I specialise in helping students achieve rapid progress through intensive, focused learning. I have extensive experience in JLPT preparation and have successfully helped many students reach their target levels with excellent feedback.

I have a deep understanding of linguistics, and I'm skilled at teaching grammar systematically, answering "why" questions that other teachers might not be able to address. Additionally, I have learned English, German, and Finnish, which gives me a broader perspective on language learning.

Outside of teaching, I love mountain climbing and have climbed Mt Fuji 3 times. My favorite food is Unadon (eel and rice bowl), and I'm a big fan of anime and traveling. I enjoy meeting people from around the world, learning about different cultures, and have a deep interest in languages and philosophy.

My teaching philosophy is to encourage students to make mistakes, as each one is a valuable learning opportunity. I never get angry or disappointed; A MISTAKE IS JUST A CHANCE TO LEARN. 🤗
